After growing up in Birmingham, Alabama I went to New York in 2012 to earn my BFA in Theatre Design from Adelphi Universtiy. I have been working in the theater as an actor, designer, and technician since 2006; each year moving more towards lighting and sound design as a focus. I have played competitive soccer and lacrosse, graduated from the Adelphi University Honors College with a 3.87 GPA, and at every opportunity attempted to become the most well-rounded person possible. To highlight collaboration as an important attribute to a designer is redundant because to speak of design is to imply the essential collaboration. Though I focus in lighting design, I view myself as one small part of a larger whole. Whether designing for an architectural project, a theatrical production, or a fashion show, I am committed to being a part of the larger story and purpose of the work. I revel in the collaboration which is present in all superlative creation. My primary focus in what I do is to contribute to the creative process in any way I can, regardless of position.
